After a nice
win over Brock yesterday, the X-Men suffered
what Coach K characterized as a step back for
the team in a 77-70 loss to Guelph, concluding a
1-2 Ontario swing. Like the loss at Mac,
the X-Men got down early and trailed 38-27 at
the half, and 57-39 after 3. The Blue and
White did make it a game in the 4th, scoring 31
points and coming to within 5 in the closing
minutes.
T Bear Upshaw
led X with 25 points, and Jeremy Dunn
contributed 13. Alberto Rodriguez had 10
boards. Turnovers continue to be the X-Men
Achilles heel - 24 in this contest and a
whopping 87 for the weekend (an average of 29
per game).
The X-Men's
next game is an exhibition vs. SMU at the Tower
in Halifax.
