The Blue and White got a boost from Dave Joyce and Will
Silver in getting a come from behind OT win over the SMU
Huskies. X trailed at the break by 10, tied it up
in the second half and won it be 2 in OT. X played
a tough and determined SMU squad that was missing its
best player, Aaron Duncan. The Huskies played only
6 in the game.
X
was led by 18 points and 4 assists from Garry Gallimore
and 17 points and 7 boards from Neil MacDonald.
Tyler Richards had 15 points and 7 boards.
Shooting guard Dave Joyce had his best offensive game as
an X-Men with 10 points (4 for 6) and 3 assists to go
with 3 steals.
With the win, the X-Men control their fate regarding a
first round bye in the AUS playoffs. Two wins at
home this weekend against Memorial give the X-Men the
bye.
