The Acadia Axemen battled back from a 11 point deficit with 9 minutes to go in the second half to take a 76-70 victory
over the X-Men at Wolfville. The X-Men led at the half 35-31 (on 53.6% shooting). The wheels fell off in the second half
when Neil MacDonald picked up his 4th foul with 11 minutes to play and Acadia made their move. With MacDonald
on the bench, the X-Men had no answer for Acadia's front line. X's problems were compounded by their inability to
execute their offence in the latter part of the second half and shot a dismal 32.4% (11-34).
Garry Gallimore led X with 17 points. Tyler Richards and Christian Upshaw added 16 apiece. Terrance Taylor had a
terrific game off the bench with 11 points, 9 rebounds and 3 blocks. Acadia was led by Achuil Lual who had a career
game with 21 points, 16 rebounds and 7 blocks.
