X gets win over Dal
The X-Men stopped the Dalhousie Tiger's winning
streak at 2 with a 78-58 win at the Oland Centre. After having
started the season at 0-6, Dal had started the second half of the season
with big wins over Acadia and St Mary's.
Jon Bell was the offensive star for the blue and
white scoring 22 points on a very efficient 10 of 12 shooting. He
was helped out offensively by Zach Russell and Ed Reynolds
with 12 apiece. Russell was also effective in distributing the ball,
dishing out
8 assists. Alex Stephen contributed 9 points and 9 boards.
John Bustin made the most of his 12 minutes of play by hitting 3
3-pointers on five attempts for 9 points. Tim O'Conner was high man for the
Tigers with 18
For the game, the X-Men were better from the
floor than from the charity stripe (53% vs. 49%). X plays next at
Acadia on Wednesday, Jan 19th at 8PM. X then hosts UCCB and and UNB
